Privacy policy
FluxAnvil is a set of static pages. It has no accounts, no comment system, no newsletter and no first-party tracking cookies. The only data collected is what any web server and any advertising network collect in the ordinary course of serving a page.
What this site stores
The site itself sets no cookies. It has no login, no form that posts data anywhere, and no analytics script of its own. Server access logs are retained by the hosting provider for the operational period used for security and capacity, and contain the usual request data: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent and referrer.
Advertising and Google AdSense
This site is supported by advertising and may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, users can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info/choices.
DoubleClick DART cookie
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page. Where required by law, a consent management platform is presented before any non-essential advertising cookie is set, and advertising is served on a non-personalised basis until consent is given.
Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to be informed about the processing of your personal data, to request access to it, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Because this site holds no personal data of its own, requests concerning advertising data should be directed to the relevant advertising vendor; requests concerning server logs can be sent to the address below and will be forwarded to the hosting provider.
Your rights under the CCPA / CPRA
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared or sold, to request deletion of that information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. This site does not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights in relation to advertising data, use the opt-out links above or contact us and we will route the request to the vendor concerned.
Children
This site is written for adults working with soldering tools and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party links
Cards occasionally link to standards bodies, datasheets and tool manufacturers. Those destinations have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated date at the foot of this page changes with it. Material changes will also be noted on the front page for one publication cycle.
